Our Services

Consultation & Evaluation Services

Arthritis can be a debilitating disease, but new treatments and techniques are available to help. Because more than 100 forms of rheumatic diseases exist, it is important to receive a correct diagnosis and begin treatment as early as possible. If detected early, pain and joint damage can often be reduced.

Our team performs a thorough evaluation with detailed history & comprehensive exam. We utilize the newest technology and diagnostic testing if needed to make the correct diagnosis and then advise specific treatment plan. Treatment plan can include dietary & other lifestyle modifications, pharmacological agents or combination of all.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Ultrasound has now become an invaluable tool in evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders. It is a simple, noninvasive, and quick method for evaluating joints, tendons and nerves, and for guiding therapeutic injections to certain joints and nerves.

Dr. Kumar holds advanced training and certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. Multiple studies have shown that Ultrasound guidance improves the accuracy and efficacy of certain injections.

Injections

Our highly experienced rheumatologist provides all types of intra articular, bursal, tendon sheath, carpal tunnel, nerve blocks, trigger point and soft tissue injections. We have advanced ultrasound equipment to help visualize tendons, nerves, and joints non-invasively when needed to improve accuracy.

Types of injections-

A. Corticosteroid “cortisone” injection
B. Visco-supplementation injection with Hyaluronic acid such as Euflexxa, Orthovic, monovisc or SynviscOne
C. PRP(Platelet Rich Plasma) injection which can helpful in some resistant cases, or where steroids are contraindicated
D. Prolotherapy – Clinical evidence supports efficacy in knee osteoarthritis, tennis elbow and various other conditions
E. Stem cell technology including Wharton’s Jelly

Each patient is different due to their underlying medical conditions, type & severity of arthritis. One or more modalities may be indicated after weighing risks and benefits. Our team can guide, and answer any questions for the best possible results.

Infusions Services

If you don’t respond to traditional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), we may probably say it’s time for a biologic. Biologic drugs, rather than being synthesized from other compounds, are generally made using human or animal proteins. At the molecular level, they’re usually larger and much more complex than regular drugs.

There are a number of biologic drugs available which are given via intravenous (infusion) therapy. The right biologic drug for a particular patient depends on the disease being treated and multiple other factors, which are unique to each person’s case.

We offer the latest advancements in infusion therapy and comprehensive education about the biologic medications prescribed, ensuring patients are well-informed at every stage of treatment.

Some conditions often treated with our infusion services include: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthriti, Psoriasis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteoporosis, Crohn’s Disease, Gout, Lupus

Clinical Research

Some selected patients who have failed all standard treatments options could benefit from participating in new drug trials. Please ask your provider if there is any ongoing trial for your specific condition. It is completely voluntary.

Education and Life Style modification

We strongly believe in educating patients throughout the process. All of the Rheumatic and Autoimmune conditions have both genetic and environmental causes. Environment factors (including diet, stress and many other factors) play a major role in both initiating the disease and determining our response to treatments.

Identifying those factors is a key to feeling better. Medications alone may not be enough or necessary. Our team will try to identify any potential etiologies and provide you with necessary education and resources.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT)

ESWT is a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment used to address a variety of chronic musculoskeletal conditions. By delivering targeted acoustic waves to injured tissues, ESWT stimulates blood flow, accelerates cellular repair, and promotes the body’s natural healing response.

It is commonly used for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, and shoulder pain, especially when symptoms have not improved with traditional therapies. Treatments are typically quick, require no downtime, and can significantly reduce pain while improving mobility and function, making ESWT an effective option for patients seeking to avoid injections or surgery.
